Team & roles
Everyone who helps run your studio gets their own login, with a role that decides what they can see and change.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including your Linyup plan and billing, plugins, integrations and deleting the studio. Only owners change roles or remove people. |
| Manager | Runs the studio day to day: contacts, schedule, prices, payments. Everything except studio settings, billing, integrations and plugins. |
| Coach | Looks after their own people and their own schedule. By default a coach can see and edit contacts, see the full calendar, and create and edit sessions. |
| Viewer | Read-only access to the studio. |
The coach role is the one you can adjust. Under Settings → Roles & permissions you can give coaches more access or less. A coach can never manage billing, plugins, integrations or the team.
“Also a coach”
Section titled ““Also a coach””Anyone can teach, whatever their role. Switch on Also a coach for a person and they appear in the coach list and the session’s coach picker, and contacts can be assigned to them. An owner who teaches is an owner with Also a coach switched on.

- Coaches: choose Invite coach to invite someone straight into the coach role.
They get an email, Invitation to join {your studio} on Linyup. They sign in or create an account, then choose Accept invitation. The invitation is valid for 7 days. Until then it shows as Pending on the Team screen, where you can cancel it or send it again.
