How pricing fits together
Pricing pulls together three ideas that usually live in different places: what you offer, what you sell, and the member benefits that connect them. A fourth piece, the price preview, shows the result for anyone.
What you offer ──priced via──▶ Member benefits ◀──grants── What you sell │ shown in ▼ The price previewWhat you offer
Section titled “What you offer”Everything a visitor can book or buy. Each item has its own base price, or none at all, before any benefit changes it.
- Classes: scheduled sessions people book a seat in
- Appointments: a coach’s time, booked from their availability
- Online courses: self-paced lessons, sold or included
- Shop items: products and gift cards
What you sell
Section titled “What you sell”The things people pay for once or on a schedule. Holding one of these is exactly what a member benefit checks for.
- Memberships: recurring plans, optionally capped per week
- Class packs: one-time credits, spent per booking
- Gift cards: a prepaid balance, redeemable anywhere
Member benefits
Section titled “Member benefits”One rule on an offering says what holding a chosen plan changes about its price. There are three kinds:
- Included: holders book for free (a pack spends one credit instead)
- Percentage off: a reduced price for holders
- Fixed member price: a flat price that replaces the base one
With no benefit set, everyone pays the base price.
The price preview
Section titled “The price preview”Pick anyone (a guest, a member, or a specific plan) and Offer → Pricing shows exactly what they would pay for every class, appointment, course and product. It uses the same logic as checkout.
- One persona at a time: guest, member, or a specific plan
- Every offering priced exactly as checkout would price it
- Health checks flag pricing that doesn’t add up
